Q: What kind of sharpening services do you provide?
A: I sharpen all kinds of knives and scissors, both by hand and on machines.
Q: Where are you located?
A: 1423 Euclid street, Santa Monica, CA 90404
Q: What are your hours?
A: 7am-12pm all days except for Tuesdays, the earlier in the day the better for me.
Q: Do I need to make an appointment?
A: No, you don’t, but please call or text before coming by to make sure I’m working and have time to sharpen your knives and shears.
Q: What is the average turnaround time?
A: If I get them early in the day, it usually takes less than two hours. I would need them before 10 a.m. to be able to have them done the same day.
Q: Do you sharpen serrated knives?
A: Yes I sharpen all serrated knives, except for some cheap double serrated ones.
Q: Do you also repair things like chipped edges, broken missing tips, bolster take down, etc?
A: Yes I do all blade repairs free of charge with sharpening, on ordinary double-beveled knives.
Q: Do you sharpen single-beveled knives?
A: Yes I do it all, repairs, thinning, polishing, and sharpening of single-beveled knives.
Q: What is the process of getting my knives sharpened?
A: Call and let me know that you want to come by with knives. Call or text when you get here, and I will run out after them, no need to park. After a couple of hours, I will text that they are done and you could come and pick them up.
